Packer Engineering also supports an educational foundation (see www.packerfoundation.org). For more than 40+ years, we have made available to students having an interest in and pursuing a career in science or engineering the opportunity to engage in an intern or an apprentice program. This program is conducted primarily during the summer months; however, we also offer it during the full school year or on a semester-long basis.

The purpose of this program is to provide an interested student an opportunity to work with leading engineers and to work on a variety of ongoing engineering projects. One major emphasis for the student is learning and applying science and engineering fundamentals through hands-on activity.

Compensation is provided depending on academic and skill level. Transportation and housing is provided by the student.

The applicant is expected to have a strong interest in the area selected and will be assigned tasks commensurate with ability. The applicant will also be assigned tasks more broadly to enhance interfacing with other engineering and science disciplines. The emphasis is on a learning situation for the applicant while making a contribution to the company and our clients.

If you are interested, please write a letter preferably in your own handwriting describing your interests, goals and reasons for your interest in the area chosen along with dates available to:
