Senior Architectural Consultant

Aidda Phomvisay is a senior architectural consultant with over 10 years of experience in architectural design and construction management of commercial, institutional and residential properties, building technology, construction products, and the investigation, evaluation, and rehabilitation of buildings.

His broad range of experience in building technology and construction systems includes: commercial and residential roofing and flooring systems performance evaluations and standards, exterior portland cement plaster systems, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), brick and concrete masonry, and building fenestration.  He also has extensive experience in field investigations, building condition surveys, cause and origin for mold and water damage assessment of facades, roofs and building components, as well as the development of construction documentation, working knowledge of the model building code(s) for compliance requirements and the relevant industry standards, and developing building plans and specifications.  His expertise also includes vast experience with hail and wind damage assessment of building exterior cladding and roofing systems.  He also has provided expert deposition testimony in cases involving construction and building system related problems.

Prior to joining Packer Engineering, he worked as a design architect for HomeCAD, Inc., a subsidiary of the Packer Group.  His responsibilities included developing plan designs, preparation of construction documents, and detail drawings for custom residential projects, production home builders, and developers. 

Before joining HomeCAD, he worked as an associate architect for InVision Architecture, an architectural design firm of institutional and commercial building projects.  His assignments included building programming, design development, construction documentation, site observation, construction management, reviewing specifications, and structural shop drawings.  Other responsibilities included, project scheduling, attending and overseeing monthly construction meetings for various building projects.

In addition to InVision Architecture, he worked with construction companies and homeowners as a design consultant for single family homes and CAD architectural rendering services.
