Anne Mathias, P.E.
Senior Staff EngineerMs. Mathias is an engineer in the Biomechanics and Human Factors group at Packer Engineering. Her areas of specialization include biomechanics, human factors, and mechanical engineering, with specific experience in product safety labeling, warnings, and instructions; accident reconstruction; safety analyses; medical device research and development; ergonomics; experimental design; and computational modeling and analysis. She holds a professional engineer's license in mechanical engineering in the State of Michigan (#6201055912).
Prior to joining Packer Engineering, Ms. Mathias worked as an engineering consultant with Miller Engineering in Ann Arbor. Before her consulting career, she earned masters degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. Her research in the Biomechanics Research Laboratory involved the biomechanics of arresting falls and gender differences in elbow joint properties; her duties included experimental and instrumentation design, human subject testing, and kinetics and kinematics data analysis. She also has experience in the research and development of orthopedic implants and surgical instruments. Ms. Mathias holds an OSHA 30-hour general industry safety and health course completion card (OSHA 511).
