Jason S. Young
ConsultantMr. Young has comprehensive experience in 3D parametric modeling, product design, design for manufacturing, reverse engineering, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), Rapid Prototyping (RP) technologies, 3D rendering and animation, 2D technical drawings and illustrations, graphical scene reconstruction, videography and DVD/video production and analysis. Mr. Young utilizes his expertise to assist engineers and fellow technicians with product design, development and manufacturing tolerance validation and review, scale model construction for courtroom demonstrations, accident scene reconstruction and procedural documentation thru 3D animation, DVD/video production, analysis and 2D illustrations for courtroom exhibits.
Since joining Packer Engineering in 2001, Mr. Young has been involved with multiple design projects including the replica Wright brother’s engine block casting and the redesign of the Mark V Special Operations Craft (MK V SOC) boat canopy. He has also been part of a team researching viable methods for rapid prototyping composite tooling utilizing Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) technology.
Prior to officially joining Packer Engineering, Mr. Young was a Packer intern for two years where he developed and refined his technical skills.
