Kenneth F. Packer, Ph.D., P.E.

Founder and Chairmen of the Board

Dr. Packer is the Founder and Principal Engineer of Packer Engineering and serves as Chairman of the Board of The Packer Group, the parent company. He has been instrumental in the development of this multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary engineering organization since 1962 and has furthered his own professional growth through teaching, writing, lecturing and developing procedures for the analysis and reporting of safety and industrial-related techniques. As a teacher and industrial consultant, he has developed broad insights into a wide range of engineering disciplines and has applied this knowledge and experience to the solution for a broad range of engineering problems.

Prior to founding Packer Engineering, Dr. Packer served as Assistant to the Vice President of Engineering at Danly Machine Specialties. Before that, he was Instructor of Production Engineering at the University of Michigan and Metallurgist at American Brake Shoe Company Research Laboratories.

Dr. Packer is a licensed Professional Engineer, an ASM Fellow and Trustee and is actively engaged on advisory councils to several universities. He is currently active in regional and national technical education initiatives and industrialization concerns of our society. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps and currently holds a single and multi-engine commercial instrument pilot's license.
