Penny S. Rusch
Senior DirectorMs. Rusch's primary responsibilities involve the development of new business and client retention. Using her marketing expertise, she handles business to business marketing, advertising, publicity, trade shows, seminars, in-house tours, direct mail campaigns, web site development, cold call distribution, telephone sales, and lead tracking. She was instrumental in obtaining over $2,000,000 worth of free publicity for Packer Engineering's participation in building the Wright Brothers replica engine.
Prior to joining Packer Engineering, Penny was the Director of Operations and Marketing for K+P Agile, Inc., a subsidiary of The Packer Group. K+P Agile provides a full-range of services to include product development, process casting analysis, rapid prototyping, rapid tooling, and prototype castings. Ms. Rusch directed all marketing functions and managed operations for this technologically-advanced engineering design firm. She created and implemented all operation procedures, organized and scheduled engineering projects, and designed an internal proposal process control system. In the marketing area, Penny orchestrated all advertising, direct mailings, web page design, article submissions and press releases while organizing, coordinating, and working numerous trade shows each year. Using ACT software, she created a database for tracking all marketing leads, proposals, projects and reports for determining marketing strategy and budget planning.
Ms. Rusch's achievements include serving as Vice Chairperson (1999-2000) and Chairperson (2000-2001) for the American Foundry Society-Chicago Chapter. She co-authored several articles to include "Casting Design and Prototyping via Computer Modeling," Engineered Casting Solutions, Winter, 1999; "High Capacity Gun Design and Prototyping," Time Compression Volume 3, Number 7, 1998; "Rapid Tooling Applied to Product Development," Prototyping Technology International, 1997. From 1996-1998, she served as Secretary on the K+P Agile, Inc. Board of Directors. Ms. Rusch also served as Vice President of Communications for the North Central College American Marketing Association from 1994-1995.
