Mr. Kaczkowski has 20 years of professional engineering experience encompassing structural analysis, steel / timber / concrete design, building system development, laboratory testing, field investigations, building code compliance evaluations, and manufacturing quality control. While at Packer Engineering, Mr. Kaczkowski has led a wide range of projects related to structural damage and building envelope leakage investigations.

Prior to joining Packer Engineering, Mr. Kaczkowski spent nine years in the Research Department of USG Corporation, a leading building products manufacturer. As Manager of the Construction Systems Laboratory, he supervised the development of building systems for residential, commercial and institutional applications. He was responsible for overseeing wall, floor, and roof system evaluations for structural, fire, acoustical and environmental performance. He was also responsible for certification testing addressing the applicable requirements of the BOCA, SBCCI, and UBC model building codes and relevant industry standards.

Mr. Kaczkowski also worked for nine years at Impell Corporation. He served as Project Manager and Project Engineer for the stress analysis and structural design of power plant structures and equipment. Sample projects involved nuclear containment structures, piping, equipment, storage tanks, and cranes. This work included development of design criteria and project specifications, detailed finite element analyses for dynamic loads and non-linear response, as well as field investigations for seismic risk assessment.

Mr. Kaczkowski is an active member of ASTM Committees C15, "Manufactured Masonry Units," D08 "Roofing & Waterproofing," and E06 "Performance of Buildings." He is a Licensed Structural Engineer and a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
