Shaun Pergande, P.E.
Senior Staff EngineerMr. Pergande consults in a wide variety of projects related to the analysis and design of mechanical systems. His areas of expertise include investigation, analysis and reconstruction of automotive and industrial accidents.
Before joining Packer Engineering, Mr. Pergande was an Operations Research Consultant with ZS Associates (global consulting firm), where he developed optimization algorithms, analytical models and data management systems. Prior to this role, he was a mechanical engineer at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where he analyzed, critiqued and performed independent analysis of operational nuclear power plants in the United States. He has also instructed undergraduate mechanical engineering courses in the areas of dynamic systems and materials.
Mr. Pergande's graduate research focused on the use of nanotechnology techniques, including use of AFM, SEM, and Nano-Indentation, to characterize the near-surface properties of engineering materials. He supplemented his experimental research findings with comprehensive numerical models and computer simulations. His graduate course work focused on control systems and automotive technology.
Mr. Pergande is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois.
